The Alberta Sport, Recreation, Parks and Wildlife Foundation

The ASRPWF is a non-profit crown corporation supported by Alberta Lotteries and dedicated to facilitating and enhancing activities, lifestyles and legacies through the development of active partnerships in sport, recreation, parks and wildlife programs. The mission of the ASRPWF enjoys the support and encouragement of a number of organizations, including government agencies such as Alberta Tourism, Parks and Recreation and corporations such as TransCanada. By enhancing sport, recreation, park and wildlife opportunities for Albertans, the ASRPWF envisions a future where there is an optimum balance between a healthy economy, a healthy population and a healthy natural environment.

In December 2008 the ASRPW provided Camp Health, Hope and Happiness with a Development Initiatives Program grant in the amount of $4,979 to enable us to purchase new 3-d archery targets for use in our summer camp programs and at our annual Shoot for Cause 3-D Archery Shoot Competition. The purchase was a timely one, as these new archery targets were used extensively during our 2009 summer camping season, to the ongoing delight of over 740 children and adults with physical or mental disabilities. Particularly popular with our budding archers were the large 3-d mosquito and dinosaur targets! In addition, over 150 archers ranging in age from 7 to 75 thoroughly appreciated the opportunity to participate in this year’s annual archery shoot competition with brand new 3-d targets.

Camp He Ho Ha takes this opportunity to extend its deep gratitude to the Alberta Sport, Recreation, Parks and Wildlife Foundation for providing funds to enhance our archery program for the benefit of Albertans of all abilities.
